Current Projects

Petition to ban homeless services within a thousand feet of children’s programming.

We continue to work to protect our children and ensure that the homeless services which we all support are located in places that make sense for the community. This includes ensuring that high-risk individuals are not encouraged to gather in our parks or near places where children’s programs are run such as the YMCA or Campfire. Our first priority needs to be the safety of our children. They deserve a safe place to grow up and we aim to provide that for them.

Currently we are working on a petition to ban services to high-risk individuals near where our children congregate. This involves hand written signatures and addresses from verified residents. Please be on the lookout for an update from Helen on mailing in your signature. We are also looking for volunteers to go door to door gathering signatures.

Thank you everyone for your efforts to ensure that our neighborhood stays focused on our most vulnerable and precious members.

Hello neighbors!

I live in South Forest Park. For my day job I am an analyst at a financial technology company. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband who is active duty Navy. I also love all that the magnificent outdoors that the PNW has to offer. I look forward to devoting time to helping Everett to become more family focused.
